L.F.S.M vol 1 mixtape

download "L.F.S.M vol. 1" mixtape here

this is an old mix i did last year, that i never put out, so i figured better late than never to give you some sounds..the mix is basically some smoked out raw shit that i love to listen to from artists i know, love, respect or admire. or all of the above. this is a dope mix to chief and just chill to with the homies. and trust me, if you dont like that raw, dusty, dirty grimey aesthetic in your music, this mix is NOT for you.

some of the artists featured on this mix are:

"Slouching Towards Nirvana" - Charles Bukowski

his latest released collection of poems.a solid representation of the legendary dirty old man's style. these pieces are real personal, focusing on his fucked up relationships with women and his addictions....his blunt and unapologetic style is both raw and deeply meloncholy at the same time.gotta love it.

im watchin..

"MILK"

saw this film in japantown with the queen Rosemarie.(helpful hint, dont be moded and go to Sundance Theatres thinking the tickets are under ten bucks.they are NOT.hahhaha.but at least almost everything else in japantown is cheap). This move is deep, man. the characters all pulled you in, well acted down the line, and the way they captured the city in the 70's was great...it makes you think when steppin down the streets of haight and castro how those same sidewalks held crazy history in the human rights struggles.like so many streets of SF,Oakland, and Berkeley.this was just one of those well told reminders....(p.s the real fun is what they show on the screen at Sundance before the movie even starts...)

listenin to...

Theo Parrish

musically vibing with Miss Rosemarie, shes gotten me back into rediscovering and appreciating really GOOD deep house music. one of my favorite artists is Mr.Parrish. I really dig the way he blends true deep house, with raw downtempo detroit soul and motown feels. its a perfect combination. like if dilla went to chicago in the early 80's.peep some of the clips above, and check out his projects if you havent...good stuff.

OAKLAND — A BART police officer struggling to handcuff a 22-year-old man, stood up over the facedown Hayward resident and fired a single shot into his back while a handful of officers watched, a video taken by a train passenger apparently shows......

listening to....

Miles Davis - "On the Corner" LP

its downright crazy to think this joint was one of his worst selling records upon release in the early seventies and also one of the most ripped on records by "critics". especially so called "jazz critics". now its pretty much one of the most influential miles' records for crazy musicians like myself, and heavy music heads alike.the real deep stanky funk rhythms powering this record are so fuzzy and distorted you can tell why this album influenced alot of feelings and textures you hear in post punk and other future rock movements to come.the dirty guitars on this album are what gets me.this is miles at his experimental genre demolishing best.this one aint for sampling,in my opinion, unless your into raping records for obvious funky loops, cause this one is more for the listen and the groove.this is a must have for the milkcrates and shelves.regardless the price.

Fyodor Dostoevsky - "Notes From The Underground"

this one is great.i slept on Dostoevsky even though i was into cats like Nietzsche and Jean-Paul Sartre, when i come to find that both Nietzsche and Sartre highly respected Dostoevsky and even claim him as their main influence, and the forerunner in existentialist thought.what a damn theory to help innovate.bigs up to Fyodor.straight from the mothafuckin' underground.(Thanks for the suggestion,Ms. Dawn Dilla).
